Welcome to the Trinity Methodist Church Website

We hope that you will find useful information in the following pages. On this website you will find the history of the church, a statement of our vision and priorities for the future and details of activities which take place on our premises.

Our congregation is a friendly and caring group of people, interested in local, national and international issues. We believe that we can make a worthwhile contribution by working within the church and at the heart of our community and welcome new partnerships and relationships. We would love to see you in worship or at one of our community events.

We are within a short walk of the seafront.

If you have any questions or queries, then please do not hesitate to get in touch. We will do our best to help. Please also see our Facebook pages.

Dates for your Diary

The church will be closed until further notice. We are hoping to open again after the current lockdown in early December.

However the Circuit's 'Digital' video services will be continuing according to the preaching plan and will be online on the Methodistic Website from 06:00 on Sundays.

You can go straight to the Circuit's Video Services by clicking here.

The calendar of events is below the Remembrance pictures.

This is a picture of the prayer book and one of the heather pot plants which were offered to all those who attended this year's All Saints Day Remembering Service. This is an annual event held each year in conjunction with Trinity Methodist and Farthing Funeral Service. An allotted time was given to the recently bereaved to come and light a candle and take home a book of prayers and a pot plant in memory of a loved one. Thank you to all who helped with this outreach, which took place just prior to recent COVID restrictions.

Although we were unable to physically meet for worship on Remembrance Sunday, Mary Greening, from Kirton Methodist Chapel, had previously arranged the delivery of the poppies below to the doorstep of individual homes. Following the delivery of the poppies, individuals attached labels in memory of loved ones. Now, using their allotted exercise time, folk are gradually planting their poppies in the garden at Kirton. The memorial stone in the picture is in memory of Ralph Mowlles, former and much loved member of Kirton Methodist. Our thanks to Mary for her work on this project and to Brian Ansell for carving the stone.
